The quiz competition winners for World River Day Celebration – 2022, were handed over the certificates on 9:30am, Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Barishal Shilpokola Academy Auditorium. The program was arranged by District Administration of Barishal and co-arranged by various development associations like Association of Land Reform & Development ( ALRD), Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers’ Association(BELA), Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BaPA) etc.
Colonel(retd) Zahid Faruk MP, sate minister for Water Resources of Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh, was the chief guest of this program. Among the special guests who attended the program respectively, are- MD. Amin Ul Ahsan, (Additional Secretary) Divisional Commissioner of Barishal; SM Akhtaruzzaman, Deputy-Inspector General(DIG) of Barishal Range; Mr. Saiful Islam BPM, (Bar) Police Commissioner of Barishal Metropolitan Police; Mr. Wahidul Islam BPM, Superintendent of Police, Barishal and prolific freedom fighter Talukder Mohammad Yunus, former MP & General Secretary for Bangladesh Awami League, Barishal.
Mr. Jashim Uddin Haydar, Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate of Barishal presided over the program.
